Kay Stanley, chess enthusiast, has partnered up with the Dayton Chess Club to create the "Ohio Kids Chess Knights". Starting April 3rd (Thursdays)  and will be open to young chess enthusiasts (or those who want to be!) from kindergaten through 12th grade.  The Dayton Chess Club has agreed to change Thursday evening hours to 5pm to 9pm to accomodate this special program.  Every Thursday starting 3 April, there will be a reduced rate of $2.00 per student and group rates will be available if accompanied by their chess coach for those whose schools with chess clubs.

• Chess sets will be made available for you players to use

Chess is an excercie of infinite possibilities for the mind, one which develops mental abilities used throughout life: concentration, critical thinking, abstract reasoning, problem solving, pattern recognition, strategic planning, creativity, analysis, synthesis and evaluation.
